Here’s how it works:

When you make a purchase at any of our NYC locations between December 7th and December 31st, you will be able to choose which charity you would like to donate to from the list below.
Then, we’ll annotate in our system which charity you have chosen.
In January, we’ll tally each charity’s respective donation amount, and forward them a check!

Participating charities:

The Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights  helps unaccompanied immigrant children in the U.S. through guardianship programs and policy advocation.

Planned Parenthood  is the largest provider of reproductive health services in the United States.

Campaign Zero  works to end police violence in the United States, largely through increased community input.

The Sylvia Rivera Law Project  assists LGBTQ+ people of color and of low income through a wide array of social, physical, legal, and political endeavors.

Freedom Service Dogs of America  adopts dogs and trains them to help people with disabilities (ranging from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder to cerebral palsy).

Earthjustice  uses the power of the law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health, preserve magnificent places and wildlife, advance clean energy, and combat climate change.

Three New Yorkers, Virgos, and fashion icons — with such a colorful trio, we worry that the garden’s flowers may have felt outdone.

Iris and Selima have kept in touch since the  Selima Optique x Iris Apfel x Le Bon marché sunglasses collaboration earlier this year (they share a passion for Mediterranean and particularly traditional  Tunisian  crafts). Selima has known Alexis for years. They are both members of the CFDA. 

The celebration, which came in the form of drinks and a picnic dinner was shared by around 40 friends including STORY ’s Rachel Schechtman and New York-based artist Theodore Bradley . 

Happy Birthday you three (the 95th for Iris!). Here’s to many more years of New York  fashion!

Selima had no hesitation when asked to create a limited edition for the NYC charitable foundation Robin Hood . She stated “I adore New York like no other place in the world and I am honored through this project to be able to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need”. 
This limited edition of hand-made acetate frames is available for both sun and optical.  We ship with sunlenses by default please contact us if you want clear lenses. All of the proceeds go to Robin Hood. 

Three years have already passed since we first opened at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche and we’re still dizzy with the energy! This is like no other department stores. Every day is an event and everything is constantly changing.
By the way, besides the location indicated above we also have a small sunglasses counter by the Rue de Sèvres entrance. Yes.. Be ready for the SUN!!

“We were going for a retro futuristic take on cat-eyes” says Selima Salaun. 

These unique frames convey a sense of ‘90’s toughness’ through the cat-eye shaped flash mirror lenses mounted in a bold acetate frame. If anyone can pull of this fierce look, it’s Bad Gal - especially when accompanied by an over-sized brown suit from Y/project.

Selima kept the large round shape, beloved by Iris, but added an octagonal outside contour to surprise her fans. The launch event was a big success during the Paris fashion week, and we caught our two ladies deep in conversation!  Read all about it in Vogue , WWD , Grazia  .. 

In NUVO  , when asked “Any pieces in the collection you’re particularly fond of?”, Iris answers “The Selima [Optique] glasses..they’re my favourite!”..  Yes!!
